What Is Included in the $99 Initial Consultation?

Your initial cold laser consultation includes:

  • Clinical assessment of the area of concern, including history, palpation, and functional testing
  • Treatment protocol selection based on your presentation, using the Multi-Radiance MR5 ACTIV PRO (ARTG-listed)
  • First cold laser treatment where clinically appropriate (typically 10-20 minutes depending on the area)
  • Plain-language explanation of findings and a recommended management approach

There is no obligation for ongoing treatment. The decision about whether to continue is always yours.

Is Cold Laser Therapy Covered by Health Insurance?

Cold laser therapy (photobiomodulation) is not currently covered by most private health insurance extras policies in Australia. It is not a Medicare-rebatable service.

If you also receive chiropractic care during the same visit, the chiropractic component may be claimable through your health fund extras cover. We process health fund claims on-site.

We do not accept WorkCover, DVA, NDIS, or motor vehicle accident claims for cold laser therapy.

What device do you use for cold laser therapy?+

We use the Multi-Radiance MR5 ACTIV PRO, a Class 3B super-pulsed laser listed on the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG). This device combines super-pulsed laser, infrared, red light, and static magnetic field in a single treatment head.

Can I combine chiropractic and cold laser in the same visit?+

Yes. Many patients receive both chiropractic care and cold laser therapy in the same appointment. Discuss this with Dr Sam at your consultation.
