The results of your Chiropractic care can be significantly improved when you incorporate a regular stretching routine. Stretching can help to decrease pain, improve range of motion, prevent muscle deterioration, promote joint health and improve muscle strength.

Your Chiropractor will show you how to do the exercises and supervise you until you are comfortable doing them on you own. Its important to keep up with your exercises as prescribed, but please, only do those exercises that are specifically recommended for YOU and YOUR particular condition.

Remember to always assume an optimal posture >> THINK TALL and STAND TALL !

Stretching Principles

You should aim to perform SLOW and GENTLE stretching. Never bounce or jerk when stretching. Always adhere to the instructions.

Stretch as far as you can until you feel the muscle tighten, and hold until you feel the tension ease – usually about 10 – 15 seconds.

Repeat 2 – 3 times on each side, attempting to increase the range of stretch each set.
